there are always projects that remain particularly memorable for us. This year, one of them is a project by our customer IT Eschbaumer GmbH in southern Germany. IT Eschbaumer ordered 500 tablet PCs to be equipped with special Android applications. These Tablet PCs will be used in North Africa, where traffic safety is to be brought up to European standards by means of brake testing systems and exhaust gas measurement technology.
Our Tablet PC of the M101 series is an important tool there on test lanes as well as in lifting technology and exhaust gas measurement technology. Mainly in brake and vehicle test lanes where technical inspections are carried out, e.g. by roller brake testers or a deceleration measuring device.
IT Eschbaumer also installed a PDF reader so that the test protocols are available on the tablet and can be processed without any problems. The end customer installed his software on the tablet PC in order to create diagrams, etc. The software can also be used by the end customer. From the tablet PC, data is transferred via remote maintenance software to a fixed PC from which peripheral devices are controlled.
The advantages are enormous: with the tablet PC, the auditor is much more mobile, which leads to many facilitations. And finally, the use of an Android tablet PC results in a price advantage, as licensing costs are eliminated.
Further projects in this area are already being planned for 2023 and we look forward to the great cooperation with IT Eschbaumer GmbH.
